Charlie and Denise came over last night for a low-key meal and a sick amount of wine. We started with a J brut rose--sigh--that they brought, and utterly fabulous cheeses, Marcona almonds, fig jam, olives ... really, that's dinner when I'm feeling lazy and in need of easy decadence.
But P-Dubs' Pasta with Pancetta and Leeks? Yeah, you should make this today. TODAY. Even better: When you're three (or four, or five, or six, or wherever) glasses of wine in, this is crazy-easy to make, and it really did look like it does here. It's light, yet full of flavor.
After a dessert of rhubarb crumble, Duck treated us to a little dance lesson. It's been a while since my ballroom dance class, so Charlie had to start from square one, while Rich got a taste of how fun it is. Ah, good times.
Oh, the house? Yeah, all I managed to do yesterday was spray the weeds in the backyard.
